Moving teeth with clear plastic aligners has become popular recently. Unfortunately, some common problems occur in many cases treated with these devices. Sometimes, the aligner is not completed seated along the maxillary teeth, leading to additional time consuming treatment of the effected teeth, including bonding attachments and elastics.

One way to prevent this from occurring is based on the concept of the tooth positioner. The incompletely seated aligner can be forced down repeatedly with biting forces over a period of days, until the space between the effected tooth and aligner is gone.
